Smart-Lightboard™ v3.0 EnhancementsIntroducing the latest product developments & updates ![]() We are excited to announce that we will be releasing V3.0 of the Smart-Lightboard™ in April 2025. The principal areas of improvement are as follows: Angled Lighting for Presenter The design of the integrated presenter lighting has been improved through a new angled frame design which directs the light towards the presenter thereby improving illumination, while increasing efficiency with less light ‘spillage’ and reduced background reflection. Next Gen Capacitive Touch Technology (<1mm Deviation) We have replaced IR frame touch technology with Projected Capacitive Touch (PCT), which offers several advantages. PCT provides high accuracy, fast response times, and a toughened edge-to-edge glass display, ensuring excellent image clarity and durability. It delivers smoother gesture recognition, including multi-touch, enhancing interactivity. Unlike IR touch screens, which use an invisible grid of LED beams and sensors, PCT detects touch through changes in the capacitive field, ensuring precise touch detection and a more natural writing experience. PCT is used in OLED screens, tablets, smartphones, and interactive digital whiteboards. Our cutting-edge PCT technology offers <1mm deviation for ultimate accuracy, compared to typical Smartboards with >2mm deviation.
